Aryna Sabalenka
Sabalenka was born in Minsk. Sergey (d.2019) played in ice hockey. Aryna Sabalenka was born Minsk, Belarus on May 5th, 1998. The 12 WTA singles wins include a Grand Slam, the 2023 Australian Open. As a doubles specialist she has also won at the US Open of 2019 as well as the Australian Open of 2021 with Elise Mertens. The year she was born, she took home two majors, her first WTA 1000 and Miami Open in Indian Wells with her Belgian Partner, who completed the Sunshine Double. The feat only four pairs from women's doubles to pull off. The singles world ranking climbed again to its highest position on January 20, 2023. That same year she took home the title the title in Melbourne in the following year, and then went to the top spot on the planet for doubles. She was coached by an ex- Russian tennis star Dmitry Tursunov from 2018 until the end of the 2019 season, and in part at the beginning of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann worked with her for short periods in August of 2020 until September. Since the end of 2020 she's been trained by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams & Maria Sharapova are her main inspirations.
